The BURGER HUNT Chapter #1

To all the Burger Lovers out there:
GOOD NEWS!
I am on a burger hunt in London, to find you the best burger in town! Forget GBK, forget McDonald's and Burger King- I am on a hunt to find you the REAL burger. No more chitchatting, let's get straight into it! Are you reeeaaadddy??

ROUND ONE

PATTY & BUN- Liverpool Street, London

20140807_122234
Recognised as one of the TOP 5 by Time Out London, this burger store is located right outside Liverpool Street station. They have a very small menu with only five choices of burgers. To find the best burger in town I have decided to target the most traditional Beef cheese burger.

20140807_122450
‘ARI GOLD’ Cheeseburger
Beef patty, Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickled onions, Ketchup, Smokey P&B mayo, Brioche. £7.50

20140807_122510
‘Smokey Robinson’ burger
Beef patty, Cheese, Tomato, Lettuce, Mounds of caramelised onions, Bacon, Ketchup, Smokey P&B mayo, Brioche. £8.50 (All veg were taken out in this burger)
20140807_122544‘Winger Winger Chicken Dinner'
Somked ondit wings with BBQ sauce and Spring onions £5.50

WHAT EDITOR LOVES:
1) Guests can choose how well done you want the burger to be cooked
2) Burgers are very saucy, full of juice
3) Brioche buns were slightly toasted and therefore gives an extra crunch and sweetness

X THE CONS:
1) The burger was VERY greasy, oil was dripping down even before it was unwrapped
2) Rosemary flavoured chips were old separately. Prices are quite high for the whole meal.
3) There was way too much sauce on the CHICKEN WINGS.The sauce has totally overpowered the flavours of the chickens.

AND THE WINNER FOR ROUND ONE IS.......
***<HONEST BURGER>***

A close call because the brioche bun selected at Patty & Bun was actually a winner. However, I was more impressed with the side orders and also the price difference. The fact that chips were sold separately put me off a little. But I strongly recommend you to try both!
