Dearest Michel,
My Hero!! How I have missed you since my first visit to your wonderful food kingdom (For reviews of Le Gavroche click here)
Nicely decorated dining area, good services, colourful presentation and delicious food.
I would come back any time.
Service:
Attentive and professional staff that are all speak fluent English and French. All have comprehensive knowledge of the menu and good for recommending your favourite dish!
Food:
Exceptional standard. Great presentation, vibrant colours and wonder of flavours. Unlimited freshly made bread too! You must try the onion flavour!
Value:
Food here can be quite expensive but definitely worth it. If you are on a budget, Roux also offers a set menu at a discounted price:
3 courses for £37 (with wine £45)- Monday to saturdays only.
Grilled diver caught scallop, brown shrimp tortellini, lobster bisque RRP £24.50 |
Crisp Blue prawns, Hass avocado, coconut, basil, lime RRP £23.50 |
EDITOR's FAVOURITE: This is a deluxe version of Ebi-Fry (Japanese style king prawns with bread crumbs). Roux never fails to select the best seafood. The layer of breadcrumb was thin and crispy, the prawn was perfectly cooked and had a see-through pink colour. Best dish of the night!!
Roast Pyrenean milk-fed lamb, truffl ed ‘txistorra’, creamed flageolet beans RRP £35 |
Butter-roast Scotch beef sirloin, wild garlic ‘champ’, white onions RRP £31 |
Madagascan vanilla crème brûlée, cocoa nib shortbreads RRP £9.50 |
Coffee pannacotta, brown sugar meringue, mascarpone ice cream RRP £9 .50 |
Lovely spacious grand dining area |
