Flesh & Buns- Pricey piece of art

I have heard so much about this place and have been willing to try it.
This supposedly Japanese fusion restaurant take creativity onto food level. You are almost paying to play with your food rather than picking on its taste.

Before I dig in to the food, let me show you the "impressive toilet which my girlfriend got very excited about and insisted that I include it in my blog.

Here you have it. Japanese hentai in the toilets.
I am guessing this is a surprising feature of the restaurant? Wonder if guys take extra long in these toilets.

The Food
Overall, loved the creativity of the whole concept. However, I was confused as to what cuisine it actually was. The main feature was the bun, which is a Chinese origins. At the same time you have Korean barbecue, and green tea chocolate which has a hint of Japanese influence? The menu is certainly creative in the sense that it is" multi-fusionised."

The flesh and the bun
The key concept of this restaurant's signature dish is a variety of grilled meat, where you can then make your own sandwich with baked hot buns that can be ordered separately. We ordered the following:

Daily Special- Wagyu Beef with Home made BBQ sauce and pickled cucumber
This was my favourite dish throughout the evening. Wagyu Beef was very tender and juicy and goes perfectly with the home made BBQ sauce.

Crispy piglet Belly with mustard Miso and pickled apple

Lamb chops in Kimchi spice with pickled carrot

The signature home made buns: Chinese Man Tou
Now the fun part, the DESSERT...

MARSHMALLOW SANDWICH! (S'MORE)
It was surely a fun experiment (that in my personal opinion, tasted nothing special).
How to make:
Step 1 - Grill your marshmallow until it melts

Step 2- Place in onto the biscuit and green tea chocolate

And there you have it!
In my opinion, it was a very expensive game. This dessert cost £8 (+12.5% service charge). But guess it was worth trying.

We also ordered the Kinako Donuts with black sugar custard.

Unfortunately we got a bit too involved playing with the marshmallow that the donuts have gotten cold and hard by the time we paid it attention :(

To conclude, a very fun AND EXPENSIVE experience. Food was nice but a bit overrated. Loved the idea of the marshmallow sandwich. Will I go back again? Probably not.
