Discovered this newly opened place from Hot dinners, where it claims to be selling "High End Burger", so was intrigued to try it out. Thoughts? Not as High End as I expected it to be.
The restaurant is located at the end of Charlotte Street, in a very quiet area. But the restaurant certainly was not dead. We visited at 9pm and it was still full-house- so TIP: MAKE SURE YOU BOOK BEFORE YOU COME or you could be waiting forever.
The interior of the restaurant gives a nice "tea party in the garden" feel. Choice of colours and lighting were very clever. And you should pay a visit to the toilets- it's like you have entered a Kath Kidson store- very pretty indeed.
NOW ON TO THE FOOD.....
Lobster & Crab RRP£16.50
|
Lobster & Crab Burger, Dill Caper Cream, Wasabi Fried Onions
EDITOR's FAVOURITE: This is no fake seafood burger. The first came bursting out natural juices from the overloaded crab and lobster meat (and this is precisely how you know it is fresh). The wasabi seasoned onions gave the burger a nice kick and added extra oomph. This is a must try if you are a fan of seafood.
Capsicum RRP£12.50
6oz Rare-Breed Beef & British Chorizo, Manchego Cheese, Tomato & Chilli Salsa, Fresh Chillies, BOBO Set with Jalapeno Mayo
Recommended by staff who claimed this to be many's favourite. To me, it was no more than a beef burger. And there are definitely much better ones, for 1/3 of the price (click to see all burger posts)
Salt & Pepper Crispy Squid RRP£6.50
|
Pickled Cucumber, Rocket, Sweet Chilli & Lime Jam
Fillet Steak Strips RRP£8.50
|
Rested Fillet, Avocado, Chive & Chipotle Salsa
AND THE MOST OBSCURED.....
CHOCOLATE BACON????? THIS IS A MARMITE RELATIONSHIP- you either love it, or hate it.

Overall Rating:
(Love the interior, very creative ideas with some of the burgers. However, overall quality of food was average considering the price tag
Staff:
(Very friendly staff, and ALL VERY GOOD LOOKING!)

Value:
(A little expensive for what was offered. The "small plates" are literal- they are tiny. Burgers were nice but charging +£15 was a little too much in my opinion, as sides are excluded)
Every Monday, BOBO Social holds a experimental burger class for £25 per head, where you get to use new choices of meat to design your own perfect burger.
