Waited for over a year to try this place, with such high expectations- WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. Do not be fooled by its price tag. I did not know there is such thing as "rubbish food you can get from a Michelin standard restaurant" until I came to this place.
(Before I start reviewing, Bibendum also has an oyster bar downstairs which received fairly good reviews)
Lobster and saffron tart RRP£23.50 |
Escargots de Bourgogne 6 RRP£12.00 |
Côte de boeuf grillé, pommes paille and bearnaise (For two) RRP£55.00 |
Chocolate and ginger mille feuille RRP £9.25 |
(Possibly the worst restaurant I have been to. This restaurant does NOT deserve its Michelin title: From service to food to price- everything was just bad. I am definitely not coming back)
Staff:
(We waited 20 minutes after being sat down at our table. It was not until I gave one of the managers an angry stare that they realised we needed to be served. Staff were not particularly friendly, did not explain the menu to us, and were not attentive at all)
Food:
(One word- CRAP. As a Michelin standard restaurant, this place is most definitely under performing. Presentation was effortless and not appetising; food was bland; worst of all, the price tag did not match with the quality of the food, at all)
Hygiene:
(My napkin had a stain on it. The toilets were very dirty. Totally did not expect this from a Michelin standard restaurant)
Value:
(Never felt so ripped off. Give me a 50% discount I still will not choose to dine here again. In my opinion, the food here is not even bistro standard)
NB: Review above is a mere personal opinion.
