50% off worth it? -Lobster Kitchen

ANNOUCEMENT- Lobster Kitchen is doing a 50% off grand opening promotion until 28th Nov. To all lobster addicts that wants to find out what this place is about- NOW IS THE TIME!

(NB: To claim offer, go to http://www.lobsterkitchen.co.uk/ and sign up to the Claw club)

Background:
Lobster Kitchen is a new lobster shack inspired by the US, located just steps away from Tottenham Court Road station. The idea is to sell a variety of lobsters in different styles, mainly tails, whole lobster and rolls.

The Food:

For 50% off, I was okay with the overall quality. If you ask me whether I will pay full price? Probably not.... Here's why.

LOBSTER ROLLS (RRP £15 / £19 with side + drink)
The Garlicky One
Chopped garlic sautéed in butter and fresh parsley
What Lobster Kitchen says:
"Toasted brioche bun stuffed full with lobster claws and knuckles, finished off with a choice of sauces."
What Muji says:
The brioche bun was not toasted- in fact it was cold. It was full of lobster, but there was hardly any sauce or garlic flavour.

Split Lobster RRP£19 with one side
Whole lobster grilled or boiled in a white wine and celery stock.
Served with a choice of one side

What Muji says:
Possibly the smallest lobster I have seen. There was hardly any meat. There was no flavour and tasted pretty much the same as the ones in the lobster roll.

Lobster mac and cheese RRP£ 5.50 or as sides

What Muji says:

Pasta was floury and was most probably made early in the morning and sat in a hot stove, then lumped with pounds of MSG.

Red Velvet cake RRP £4.50

Overall Rating:
GO THERE BEFORE THE 50% OFFER ENDS or never.

Staff:
(It could be because Lobster kitchen has literally just opened- Person serving us was completely clueless about what sides are included in set menu, how much drinks costs, etc.
Saying that, the manager kindly informed us of the 50% promotion that Lobster Kitchen is currently offering.)

Food:
Drinks were very generous, they serve full size Snapple ice tea, and you can get this for free if you order a lobster roll meal deal. But that's about it.

Hygiene:

Value:
(I think for 50% of its original price it is certainly a good deal. However, for me to pay full price to eat here, the kitchen really needs to show some improvement in the quality of the food.)

NB: Review above is a mere personal opinion.

How do the lobster dishes compare with Burger and Lobster?

Taste wise, this place is no competition to burger and Lobster. Furthermore, now that the offer has ended, I will 100% choose burger and lobster over Lobster kitchen.
