WA CAFE- Japanese Patisserie comes to London! (Video review)

Dear Wa Cafe,

Your arrival has satisfied my long mad cravings for Oriental patisserie! It is very difficult to find desserts that are not overly sweet in London, and most desserts I taste often have thick coats of chocolate / fudge/ caramel and all the overwhelming taste.

Creative, pretty, tasty and high quality: defines Wa Cafe patisserie.

Overall Rating:
Lovely, lovely little Gem in West London, although finding parking could be a little troublesome. I was truly impressed with the design, presentation and taste of the cakes and drinks. This is definitely one of my favourite spot for tea!!

Service:
Simple and fast. You choose what you want from the display window and order at the till. Food is paid before served.

Food:
Huge thumbs up on the presentation and flavour. Cakes on display already made me dribble so that was definitely successful. Cakes are not overly sweet but each has a very unique taste and texture that I can assure you will not get else were in London.

Hygiene:
The cafe is new and seatings as well as toilet facilities are very clean. Staff cleans regularly too.

Value:
Prices for cakes and the huge selection of teas range from £3 - £5 each. Our bill for the above came up approximately £30. Very good value for such high quality desserts.

Firstly, watch me eat and get jealous:

Mango Mousse
EDITOR'S FAVOURITE: This was TRULY scrumptious. The mousse composes of three layers: the mango mousse, sponge cake, and digestive biscuit base. The mousse was very soft and creamy and has a bursting mango flavour. The biscuit base was crunchy (you know it was made fresh!). This is a master piece and by far my favourite.

Matcha / Green Tea Rolled Cake
A very popular choice. Not my personal favourite but if you like anything green tea, then this baby will surely satisfy your taste bud. It is made with real matcha powder and therefore the green tea taste is very strong. The red bean paste filling adds a kick of sweetness that balances the tea leave bitterness.

Choux a la Creme
Solid Choux bun sandwiching frozen custard cream. The pastry is crunchy and soft in the middle. Very very yummy!!
Souffle Cheesecake
A tradition Japanese style cheesecake. Compared to a New York cheese cake, this one does not have a solid biscuit base. What you would get instead is a spongy texture that almost tastes like a mouse. Another favourite of mine!

WA cafe's match latte uses real green tea powder and only has a light drip of syrup. Served cold makes one of the best summer cooler. Perfect for those who dislike overly sweet flavours.
Here I am pouring a cup of cold Ume cha, or plum tea. Very refreshing taste that is perfect for summer! Another must try!!
