Smack Deli Lobster- Fast-fine dining.

Simple, fast, affordable, yet delicious. Smack Deli introduce fast food to a whole new level. A simple menu with four choices of lobster roll. If you have yet to try Burger and Lobster because you think the price tag is a little too much- This is the place for you. Smack Deli is the sister company of Burger and Lobster- with affordable prices!
HOW CAN ANYONE RESIST THIS !

You would Choose what you want on the massive menu board upon entrance and order by the counter, fast food style.
You will then be offered a buzzer to alert you when your order is ready for collection

Soft Drink options included Cola, lemonade and Ginger ale (Free refills) RRP £2.50
Selection of beer also available RRP £4.00

California £9
Lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado, avocado mayo and lime
Seven Samurai £9 (Best Seller)
Tempura lobster, Japanese mayonnaise, Japanese cabbage, cucumber, pickled ginger, spring onion, Togarashi spice
These lobster rolls are one of the best bargains I have found in London in recent years. Inside every brioche bun is filled with chunky lobster meat. The roll is so full that it is almost impossible to fit in your mouth. Taste? No doubt the best "fast food" I have had. The combination of ingredients works perfectly and compliments the lobster so well without overtaking its flavour. ALMOST FAULTLESS.
Verdict? The only thing that makes Burger & Lobster is the warm garlic brioche bun which Smack Deli sadly didn't have. But you really cannot complain for the price that you are paying.
"MUST TRY" sides :
(Top) Lobster Pot £12.00
(
Bottom left) COURGETTE FRIES £3.60

Lobster Pot- No messing about and straight to the point. Chunks of fresh juicy lobster claws served with no seasoning but a slice of lemon- retaining all its natural flavours. (However I felt a little scammed when I found out that you do not actually get a full cup of lobster. There's a small cup inside the cup!)

Courgette Fries- OMG OMG OMG! This is easily the best courgette fries I have had! Lightly fried and perfectly seasoned. SO. GOOD.

Lobster Chowder Small £3.60/ Large $4.80
Forget the fake soups that you normally get at take-outs with thick stock base. This soups is loaded with ingredients- carrots, celery, potatoes, and of course, lobster meat, slowly cooked in a creamy base soup. Delicious!

To sum up:

Overall Rating:
(I like the simplicity of the fast food style dining experience. Service was quick, and you can also choose the take away option for a cheaper price)

Staff:
(Quick service but as Smack is a fast food style restaurant everything else including drinks are all self-serviced)

Food:
(The lobsters are all fresh and for every sandwich you get chunks of juicy meat. All mains and sides were freshly made and packed with flavours. The only down side was that the brioche bun was not warm and for this reason Burger and Lobster is still the winner for me)

Seating:
(Narrow tables and seats were not the most comfortable. However, dining area was spacious. Could utilise the space a bit better)

Value:
(Very reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food served. Soft drinks are refillable for free. Takeaway option available for a cheaper price)

NB: Review above is a mere personal opinion.

I visited Smack Deli today after reading your review and had the Seven Samurai and Lobster Chowder. Everything as expected and up to standard for the price. The brioche bun that I had did have garlic flavour though.

Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it ! All I remember is that my brioche bun was cold and with Smack u don't get the warm garlic sauce that came with the lobster roll!

Thanks for sharing your experience ! :)
